'Tidy Towns' Launched in Carmarthenshire
A two week campaign is underway in Carmarthenshire to launch 'Tidy Towns'.Tidy Towns is an initiative between Keep Wales Tidy and Welsh local authorities. It is funded by the Welsh Assembly Government and aims to empower the people of Wales to take responsibility for their local environment.
Keep Wales Tidy, Carmarthenshire County Council and the Carmarthenshire Community Safety Partnership have organised many events, clean-ups, litter picks and waste amnesties between 19-31 January. Some of these will be held in Communities First areas.
On Monday, a litter pick was organised with Glanmor Neighbourhood Watch and supported by Glanymor & Tyisha Communities First and local police officers. Litter was collected around Bryn Road and Bryn Terrace in Glanymor, Llanelli.
Dan Snaith, Keep Wales Tidy Project Officer for Carmarthenshire, asks John Jones a few questions about the litter pick
