' IBU You Be Me' Project

Following the completion of the filming with the young people of Paryrhun on the 'IBU You be Me' project, the group worked very hard to edit and complete their film through a final workshop last Wednesday.

The exciting project looked at the different perceptions between young people and adults in the communities and gave an opportunity for both the young people and the adults to think about what its like to be each other in 2009.

Throughout the project, the young people were introduced to new digital equipment, including professional video cameras and sound equipment, as well as playing the roles of a production team, learning new key skills using the equipment and how to plan, film and edit a full film.

On the final session of the project, the young people used Apple Mac based editing software (Imovie) to edit their finished films. All the young people involved enjoyed the experience and gained a new skill that they can use in the future to make their own films.

As Ann mentioned in the video above, they hope to have a premier night in Ammanford sometime in March to showcase both this video and a video completed by the Ffynnon Las youth group last year.
