BASE Facilitate Upper Amman Valley Partnership Meeting
Young people were on the agenda at Thursday's meeting of the Upper Amman Valley Communities First Partnership. In fact, the whole evening was given over to young people's concerns in a session facilitated by the BASE (BrynAman Street Elite) youth group.
The evening was a chance for members of the community to discover what young people's groups in the area are doing and for them to offer help where they could.

Speed Dating - Kath and Adrian from Cwm Gors meet Peter and Gwen from Presents... Events (taken by Ffion)The second half of the evening was given over to a 'speed dating' session. Chairs were arranged in a circle and every member of the audience got a chance to talk to representatives from each youth group. After five minutes, your time was up and you had to move on to the next group. It was a chance to find out more about what the groups were doing, to exchange information and offer help where possible.
The Partnership meeting offered a fresh perspective on young people's activities in the Upper Amman Valley. Peter, from BASE, recorded the reactions of some of those who attended.
