A Poem From GCG Happy Wanderers
Georgina, a member of the GCG Happy Wanderers, wrote a super poem about the group. Watch the video below to hear Georgina read it out.
GCG Happy Wanderers are we
With orange coats we are easy to see.
If the weather is wet we don't care a jot
On with out waterproofs and off we trot.
Walk every Tuesday for three miles plus
Thursdays we halve that and don't make a fuss.
We have found many paths in Garnant,
Tairgwaith and Cwmgors.
Brynaman and the Black Mountain of course.
Enjoy the river walk to Glanamman you see
And on our way back to the Half Moon for tea.
As the weather gets warmer we hope
To change this for a shandy or coke
Sure we are fitter with all this walking
To help us a long we do a lot of talking.
On our way home we are weary, and so
Get into our cars and say Cheerio.
